This is Christopher and Thasper from The Sage of Theare, climbing their way to the heavens to visit the gods. I was originally going to draw Christopher sick, since he is, but I decided to make a more dramatic scene this time around, so next time I'll give him a red nose and a tissue and make the poor fellow looking miserable.
Also I used little planet stamps for the comet design on his robe, but I plan to go back in and actually make my own comet stamp, as well as do more shading and highlighting of the clothes.
Looks pretty cool rebecca, especially their facial expressions! I would like to see some of the background color in their skin tones and clothes, so that the characters feel more like they're apart of the scene.
Why thank you! I know, it IS hard, and like I think I said in my "description" this didn't turn out the way I originally planned. I wanted to make Chrestomanci look like he had the flu, but it was harder than I thought to pull off him being regal looking AND sick, lol.
Yes, I read that. I felt so sorry for him during that chapter. His job must really stink sometimes. I remember when a was in 7th grade, I delivered papers. I always had to do it even if I was sick or if there was a foot of snow outside because the people still had to get their papers. No days off. xP
Beautiful. I'm SO jealous that you can draw Chrestomanci. Our favorite nine-lived enchanter always refuses to be drawn by me. I just can't get him right (so annoying!)

Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

(isn't it funny how book characters are so elusive when trying to draw them?)
